Sliding Doors
Timber Sliding doors are a set of door panels that are mounted on sliding tracks, sliding horizontally to open and stacking to one side or both sides of an entrance. This design concept is a popular space saving door set, especially for areas where you don’t want or can’t have protruding doors.
Sliders have earned a reputation as a versatile door type for accessing decks, great with panoramic views, and excellent for indoor/outdoor flow. They are quiet and offer no risk of slamming in high wind zones.
What we do
CT Joinery produce sliders with high performance roller/track systems that operate with a quiet and smooth sliding action. Our timber sliding doors can come in a range of configurations from a single slider (or bi-parting), to double slider or multi slider options (6 panels).
Materials and Hardware
The standard materials used for Sliding door construction are:
- Door sashes (doors): Western Red Cedar
- Slider frames: H3.2 Finger Jointed Pine
- Glazing: Single or Double Glazing
- Pre-primed: Standard on all painted produce
We can certainly build your doors from other materials, and are happy to discuss options with you.
Your sliders will need to be installed by a qualified builder. If you do not have one, we may be able to recommend someone suitable. Our project managers and estimator are very experienced, and can help walk you through your choices.
